NEON were commissioned to design an integrated sculpture for the facade of a car park for the new Kangas (fabric in Finnish) residential area in Jyväskylä, Finland.

Huntu (Veil in Finnish) is inspired by the sculptural possibilities of fabric. The overall facade is pleated and perforated to give the appearance of a veil. Above the main entrance there is a sculptural moment which references the highly ornated forms found in haute couture fashion. The lights of the multi-storey car park will illuminate the artwork from behind.
